How to activate the SSL certificate
If you want to activate the SSL certificate for a website go to the Domain Manager and activate the checkbox for the respective domain. This will automatically create an SSL certificate for the website so the website will be transferred via a secure HTTPS connection. Activating SSL will automatically create a certificate for all connected subdomains as well.
SSL is not working
Here are some common issues that might explain why your SSL certificate is currently not available:
- Incorrect DNS settings: If you used incorrect DNS settings the SSL certificate will not be activated. Please check the settings and wait 24 hours.
- Changes in the DNS settings: If you made changes to the DNS settings of a domain in the meantime, it might take up to 24 hours until the SSL certificate is up and running again.
- More than one SSL certificate activated: If you host your domain with another provider please check if SSL is activated there as well and if so, please deactivate it and wait for 24 hours.
If you checked these common issues with SSL certificates and waited for 24 hours without any positive results please contact our support team via email.
