In this article, we explain everything about the AI Writer (formerly Text Generator), which is the integration of ChatGPT in the Website Builder.

To access the AI Writer, you can either:

• Select a text or headline element, click the AI icon in the element toolbar, and choose Generate text from the menu. The same menu gives you quick one-click actions for text you've already written: Improve, Make shorter, Make longer, Fix spelling & grammar, and Translate to [language].

  

• click on AI Writer in the top menu bar

  

Both options open the AI Writer panel. Here you have the option to add the following information:

• Element: If you opened the Text Generator via a text or headline element the respective element ID will be added here. You can change the selected element by clicking on the element picker icon and selecting another element. 
• Input language: In which language do you add the description?
• Output language: In which language should the output text be generated?
• Description: Add relevant information that helps the AI create the content you want. The more specific you are, the greater the chance of getting a text that matches your expectations. E.g. for an "About Us" text, it helps to mention:
  • What is the product or industry? 
  • How many years of experience and team members does the company have?
  • Is the company specialized in anything?
• Text Settings (optional)
  • Max. Word: What is the maximum number of words that should be generated?
  • Content Type: What kind of content do you want to generate?
  • Tone: In which tone should the text be written?
  • Reading Level: What kind of reading level would you prefer?
  • Target Group:  Who should read this text?
  • Author: From which perspective should the text be written?

Once you've added your specifications, hit Generate text. This sends your input to ChatGPT via an API and returns the response in the panel. If you had an element selected, the output is also placed directly into that element.

AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or non-unique. Similar or identical content may also be generated for other users, so we recommend reviewing and personalizing the result before publishing.
